It is very similar to what you experienced in the previous one Flashlight games too, and there are even a few nods to its predecessor in some cutscenes or scenes. Yet the narrative was too weak and at times disconnected. Even if Flashlight III offered three separate acts with their own hubs and quest givers, and the locations themselves are finely crafted with an artistic cartoon design and vibrant colors, I couldn’t find a single memorable NPC, quest, or destination. This could be partly due to the way Flashlight IIIThe campaign is structured. Then you move on to a larger area which has two or three smaller areas. You kill the miniboss in these areas and report back to town. When you leave the larger area, you’ll reach a transition area that doubles as your fort’s copy (we’ll talk about that later).
