![]() At no time were we belligerent or disrespectful towards staff. ![]() This was not the case - several people already paid for services rendered - we were simply asking for a discount for incomplete services. The manager (who was not present on the property) then called the sheriff because he saw “a group of people on camera surrounding his receptionist and feared for her safety” and told them that we were attempting to leave without paying. We again respectfully asked for a discounted rate on the men’s services. We had several out of towners in our party and could not wait that long for services that should have been performed in the first place. However, we would have to wait 30 MINUTES TO 1 HOUR due to their error. (He actually stated this to two family members who spoke with him by phone.) We asked for a discounted rate, since this service was not performed, and were told that they would not discount us but would perform the requested service. Over the phone, the manager stated that this service was offered for FREE. We were able to speak with the manager via phone after a 45 minute wait. At the time she did not share that the manager was not on the property. We respectfully raised concerns about this discrepancy and were told by the receptionist that she would contact the manager. When we checked out at the front desk, we shared our feedback about this (as it was a disappointment to us) and were told by the receptionist that this service is indeed offered. Typically men’s pedicure services include some type of “buff and shine.” Our group inquired about this during our pedicure and were told by the techs that they do not perform this service. Several of us made an appointment for a group pedicure session, including four men. My family and I had a HORRIBLE experience here today due to racial profiling and we will never return. The final photo is the reply I received on May 13th after calling, leaving a voicemail, and then another message via form on Utopia's website. The first photo is what I'd requested and had to get done at a different salon after being provided absolutely unacceptable quality and customer service at **********************. I've attached photos below of the service I requested at the time of booking the appointment compared to the service I received. If I could rate this experience as a zero, I would. Ive also sent a review, sent an email, and called the salon within a week of receiving this service to get in touch with a manager, express my frustration, and request a refundall of which have yet to be acknowledged. I even had to book a manicure at a different salon to fix the one I received here. The manicure I ended up with was poorly shaped, had uneven edges, and angled too far upward, and cost me $50. I even acknowledged that there may have been a misunderstanding on my part, but I was made to feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome that I considered just walking out and cancelling the service entirely. When I stopped her, I received an aggressive reply, and then she argued that shed already told me she didnt have time to provide the service Id asked for. She even went so far as to try and provide a lesser service without asking me if thats what I wanted. ![]() Rather than doing some simple problem solving, her nail tech (who did not have an upcoming appointment) started her manicure right away, and my nail tech informed me upon arrival thatbecause I was running lateI couldnt get the manicure Id scheduled and asked for. I was running about 10 minutes late due to construction traffic, but asked my sister (who arrived 5 minutes early) to let the front desk know Id be there shortly. My sister and I booked a manicure at Utopia ********** 2 on Monday May 9th, 2022 to prepare for my maternity photo shoot and celebrate being 8 months pregnant.
